We’re pleased to share another successful installation, this time in a modern home in Co. Down, where external noise from a busy road was affecting day-to-day comfort.
Although the property already had modern windows, they were not sufficient to block out the level of traffic noise experienced by the homeowner. To address this, Secondary Glazing NI installed a combination of acoustic horizontal and vertical sliding secondary glazing systems, specifically designed to reduce noise intrusion while maintaining practicality and usability.
A key requirement for this project was to retain three fire egress windows for safety, which we were able to fully accommodate within our design. In addition, the property had existing window shutters, and our systems were carefully installed to work seamlessly alongside them without disruption.
The result is a significant and immediately noticeable reduction in external noise, creating a much calmer and more peaceful living environment. The added layer of glazing also helps improve thermal performance, contributing to a warmer home and more comfortable nights’ sleep.
