Upgraded Timber Windows using Secondary Glazing

Heritage Property Incorporating Acoustic Secondary Glazing

This commercial renovation project includes Secondary Glazing to the front of the property. This approach to using timber frames and secondary glazing aimed to provide a warmer, quieter, and safer refurbished apartment block in the centre of Belfast. The original timber frames were restored, and secondary glazing was added to ensure the residents would have a warmer, quieter and safer apartment in the centre of Belfast.

Acoustic Secondary Glazing installed at the reveal edge for additional warmth, noise reduction and safety.
Secondary Glazing fitted this balanced vertical slider for access to the original window, and is proportion to the existing main window. The secondary glazing fits neatly and seamlessly into the reveal so the look of the building is retained.

These inward opening secondary glazing French windows allow for access to the external window. As they are in keeping with the original design, this heritage property passes building control requirements and is warmer, quieter and safer.

The Secondary Glazing lets this listed building keep its character, but adds warmth, security and is much quieter in this busy part of town

Secondary Glazing is a way of adding warmth, quiet and security to listed and heritage properties.
