Victorian Terraced House

We’re delighted to share Completed Project 1: a beautiful Victorian terraced house in County Down.

This was another lovely installation where preserving the character of the property was just as important as improving comfort. The homeowner wanted to retain the original timber sliding sash windows, which are a fantastic part of the home’s history and architectural charm.

To achieve this, we installed vertical sliding sash secondary glazing, allowing the original windows to remain untouched while significantly improving performance. The new system helps seal in heat, eliminate draughts, and reduce external noise, making the home warmer, quieter, and more comfortable all year round.

Security was also improved, adding an extra layer of protection without compromising the appearance of the windows. Our slimline aluminium frames fit neatly within the existing wooden surrounds, blending seamlessly into the property and becoming a natural part of the home.

The result is a property that retains its Victorian character while benefiting from modern performance standards. A happy customer — and a happy Secondary Glazing NI.
