We’re pleased to share Completed Project No. 3: Noise Reduction in Newry, where we helped improve comfort in a beautiful period home affected by traffic noise.
This spacious property overlooks a busy road, and ongoing noise pollution had become a real concern for the homeowners. To address this, Secondary Glazing NI installed a combination of horizontal and vertical sliding secondary glazing, incorporating acoustic laminated glass for maximum sound reduction.
The success of this installation comes from the combination of well-sealed slimline frames, high-performance acoustic glass, and the reveal depth between the primary and secondary windows. Together, these elements allow a significant amount of external noise to be blocked before it enters the home.
Once installed, road noise was noticeably reduced, creating a calmer and more comfortable living environment. The additional glazing also helps improve thermal performance, making the home easier to heat and more energy efficient.
As with all our installations, the slim aluminium frames were carefully fitted to ensure they do not detract from the character of the property. The result is a quieter, warmer, and more comfortable home that still retains its original charm — another successful project in Newry.
